Kids Fun Run Series
The Virginia Beach Sports Center invites kids ages 12 & under to join our Kids Fun Run Series — a monthly themed race from October through March! Each run is just $10 and includes a finisher award. Races vary in distance by age group, with check-in starting 30 minutes before the race.
Each race will follow the same schedule unless noted otherwise
- 12:30pm – Check-in, Packet Pick-Up, and Race Day Registration
- 1:00pm – Race!
Trick-or-Treat Trot
Sunday, October 18th
The fastest Trick-or-Treat of the season! Participants will trot around the track (in costume) for 15-minutes and stop at the exchange zones to collect either a trick (fitness drill) or a treat (candy).
Drumstick Dash
Sunday, November 22nd
Fill your Thanksgiving plate. The longer you run, the more you fill your plate with some of Thanksgiving’s best dishes and desserts.
SantaSprint
Sunday, December 13th
Participants will SPRINT for Candy Canes in THREE different races (60M dash, 200M dash, 400M dash). The top-3 in each race add a candy cane to their collection. Can you fill Santa’s bag with Candy Canes?
MLKMile
Monday, January 18th
Some may race, but others may run and walk. The DREAM is just to FINISH the 16 laps around the oval.
Hustle for Hugs
Sunday, February 14th
Play BINGO while running around the oval. You stop when you complete your Valentine’s Day themed BINGO!
Leprechaun Laps
Sunday, March 14th
Each lap you collect a color of the rainbow. When you collect ALL colors of the rainbow, you have reached the FINISH and the Pot of Gold.
